South Africas leader in Waste Management is searching for an experiencedOccupational Health Nursing Sisterto join their team in Gqeberha.
In order to be considered for this role you must meetthe following requirements:
- A Matric
- Occupational health nursing degree/diploma
- Dispensing course diploma qualification
- 5 years working experience in occupational health
- Chemical industry exposure with experience in this field
- Valid Certificate in Spirometry
- Valid Certificate in Audiometry
- Valid drivers licence
- Registered with South African Nursing counsel (SANC)
- SASOHN membership
Key Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Manage the administrative and operational activities of the occupational health clinic.
- Adherence to and implementation of company policies and procedures.
- Adherence to and implementation of all legislation related to clinical operations.
- Manage clinic stock drug registers and equipment as well as the keeping of inventory.
- Implement and maintain a Hearing Conservation Program.
- Implement supervision and maintenance of a Chronic Disease Management program.
- Provision of primary health care and emergency service within scope of practice.
- Initiating and facilitating all referrals to the Occupational Medical Practitioner or outside healthcare
- providers and services and the follow up of such cases.
- Implementation of infection control measures.
- Performance and monitoring of medical and biological surveillance within the prescribed company protocols.
- Monitor and analyse health trends and the reporting thereof.
- The follow up of Injuries on Duty cases according to company policy.
- Provision of appropriate health education programs to employees.
- Attendance and recordkeeping of Health and Safety meetings monthly management meetings or any other relevant meetings.
