Job Description:
The Office of School and Community Nutrition Programs (OSCNP) at the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) is looking to hire a temporary IT Programmer to assist with analyzing code provided by District of Columbia.

- Handson experience with and MySQL Databases.
- Good Knowledge of Data mapping / Data transformation
Mandatory Requirements
- A bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology Computer Science Management Information Systems or other information technology related field.
- 5 years of experience designing developing testing implementing and maintaining applications and programs using C# within a .net framework.
- Experience with MySQL Writing and optimizing SQL queries Integrating databases with applications. Developing and implementing database stored procedures and functions.
- It is preferred that the person is Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) certified.
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Analyze code to identify any issues inefficiencies and/or areas of improvement.
- Evaluate the code for readability maintainability and performance.
- Diagnose and resolve bugs within the code.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand the problem areas and provide solutions.
- Identify opportunities to optimize the code to improve scalability and performance.
- Document code analysis findings and any changes being made to the code.
- Create technical documentation of recommended solutions.
- Push code to the testing environment verify intended functionality.
- Modify code to comply with OSCNP from existing specifications
