Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a top commercial realestate group who is seeking a highly experienced Accounting Manager to join their finance team in Arlington VA on a 3 month contract basis.
Title: Accounting Manager
Location: OnSite Arlington VA
Hourly Rate: $50.00 $70.00/hour

Key Responsibilities:
- Foster an engaged and motivated accounting team reducing turnover and enhancing team performance through training and mentorship.
- Streamline month quarter and yearend close processes improving completion time and accuracy.
- Play a pivotal role in annual audit processes ensuring smooth and timely audits with detailed supporting schedules and documentation.
- Collaborate with department managers to enhance budget forecasting resulting in accurate financial projections aligned with organizational objectives.
- Utilize Oracle Sage Intacct and SQL reporting tools to optimize financial reporting and compliance.
- Optimize the tracking and capitalization of product development costs improving reporting transparency and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting.
- CPA certification highly preferred.
- Extensive experience in senior accounting roles including General Ledger and Accounting Management positions.
- Proven expertise in SOX compliance revenue analysis and risk assessment.
- Advanced proficiency in Oracle Sage Intacct and SQL reporting tools.
- Strong leadership skills with a history of reducing turnover and fostering team development.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Senior General Ledger Manager Accounting Manager or Assistant Manager in accounting and analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to streamline processes and improve financial reporting accuracy.
- Experience collaborating with crossfunctional teams to achieve compliance and enhance financial projections.
