Job Description

The HeavyDuty Mobile Mechanic handles the maintenance and repair of the operational fleet including troubleshooting diagnosing and servicing on/offroad diesel equipment trailers and hydraulic systems. This role involves operating a service truck to perform mobile repairs. Candidates must be based in the Midland/Odessa TX area.
Position Details
  • FLSA Status: NonExempt
  • Job Status: Fulltime
  • Amount of Travel Required: 75
  • Reports to: Maintenance Manager
  • Direct Reports: None
  • Compensation: $22.00 $34.00/hour depending on experience
  • Work Schedule: Maintains a flexible work schedule to meet the demands of industry hours may be long and irregular.
  • Evening/Weekend On Call duties as required.
Skills & Abilities
  • Education: High School Diploma GED or equivalent. Technical training an asset.
  • Experience: 5 years verifiable diesel mechanic work experience including Cat Allison Cummins. Hydraulic experience an asset.
  • Strong computer skills an asset. Ability to use Microsoft Office and Maintenance management system.
  • Additional Requirements: Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license with a good record and no major violations. Meet the minimum driving standards for insurance eligibility. Successfully pass a preemployment screening. Acquire and maintain a DOT Medical Card (required for operating the service truck).
Duties
  • Perform maintenance and general repairs on trucks trailers industrial engines and oilfield service equipment.
  • Visually inspect equipment for proper performance and detect faults and malfunctions using diagnostic testing software as needed.
  • Clean lubricate and perform other scheduled and preventative maintenance and associated checklists.
  • Drive company equipment as needed including forklift and telehandler.
  • Proficient use of engine scanning software (SIS INSIGHT Allison).
  • Maintain diagnose and repair DEF/DPF/Tier 4 Engine/Emission systems.
  • Trains and mentors field staff on equipment maintenance and PM inspections.
  • Diagnose repair 12/24V electrical systems.
  • Identify diagnose and repair hydraulic parts components and systems.
  • Audit field staff performed maintenance.
  • Communicate with Manager and Field staff on daily work schedule and daily activities.
  • Other project as assigned by management
