GlennBuege Chevrolet is seeking a detailoriented and highly organized individual to join our team as an Automotive Title Clerk/Office Assistant. This is a rare opportunity to work in a small town automotive office environment assisting with critical accounting and titlerelated functions. We are looking for a dedicated professional with a strong background in office administration accounting and vehicle title processing. Job Responsibilities:
Assist with accounts payable/receivable payments and reconciliation.
Post daily deposits petty cash and other accounting transactions.
Aid in preparation of floor plan audits and account reconciliation.
Handle title work including customer tradeins and payoffs.
Post reserve statements funding notices rebates and incentives.
Reconcile accounting schedules and statements.
Perform general administrative duties for the accounting department.
Process vehicle titles for new used and wholesale vehicles.
Stay updated on current DMV regulations and ensure compliance with title and licensing requirements.
Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate departments.
Assist with cashiering duties as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or business administration is a plus.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in office administration with preference given to experience in automotive accounting or finance.
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial transactions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage sensitive financial data with discretion.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Must pass a background check.
Additional Beneficial Skills:
Knowledge of automotive dealership operations and related software. (Dealertrack)
Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries and resolve issues efficiently.
Basic understanding of state and federal tax laws as they relate to vehicle sales and title transactions.
Ability to work under pressure especially during peak periods.
Familiarity with vehicle registration and licensing processes.
Adaptability and willingness to learn new systems and technologies.
