Help us redefine what is possible and make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with Autism! Bittersweet Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides residential vocational and recreational services to individuals with autism.
Bittersweet is seeking a Parttime Direct Support Professional to work First shift in our Lima day program.
This position is a part time position working Wednesday Thursday and Friday from 7:30AM4:15PM. This position requires requires a valid drivers license & auto insurance. Must have a clean driving record for the last three years. Candidate must be able to start the first week of August.
Direct Support Professionals help enrich lives and make a difference while also providing you with valuable work experience. Direct Support Professionals teach mentor and positively impact the lives of individuals with disabilities through skills development. Responsibilities of Direct Support Professionals:
- Provide personcentered supports which requires flexibility creativity and commitment
- Work in partnership with participants
- Promote communication choice independence socialization and empowerment for the participants
Skills of Direct Support Professionals:
- Possess and uses empathy in all actions and interactions
- Effectively work in teams with coworkers and participants
- Ability to express patience in difficult situations
- Ability to drive daily routes in our company vehicles and provide transportation for our participants
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school Diploma or GED
- Valid Drivers License
- Valid Auto Insurance
- Clean Driving Record for the last three years.
- Ability to pass physical/drug screen prior to start date.
- Must be able to work from 7:30AM 4:15PM.
