What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Clinical Services Manager the role of a Behaviour Support Practitioner is a pivotal part of the Clinical team.
This role is responsible for assisting the delivery of highquality Allied Health and Behaviour Supports ensuring sustainability and meeting benchmark KPIs. They will liaise with various government organisations develop and maintain professional relationships and ensure that they follow evidencebased practices while recommending funding based on NDIAs reasonable and necessary criteria. Conflict management is also a crucial aspect of the role.
The successful applicant will possess exceptional communication skills both verbal and written with emphasis on interpersonal communication skills trustbuilding confidentiality report writing and recordkeeping. They should also have excellent attention to detail and demonstrated competence in using information technology electronic client management systems and Microsoft Office.
The ideal candidate will be a registered behaviour support practitioner at a minimum of an experienced CORE or PROFICIENT standard with skills knowledge and experience working within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). They should have a sound understanding of the NDIS ECEI Framework and the principles and evidencebased practice regarding the delivery of positive behaviour support approaches within diverse environments.
With the intrastate expansion of Allora Options there will be opportunities for paid work travel to the Riverland and Eyre Peninsula regions as we grow in these areas.
Conflict management relationship building negotiation skills and a profound understanding of Positive Behaviour Support the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework and the requirements of the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission are critical. The candidate should also possess exceptional knowledge of the DHS Restrictive Practices guidelines and have experience working with people with behaviours of concern that families carers and/or members of the community find challenging.
