Responsibilities:
- Lead mentor and develop a team of data engineers focused on building and maintaining data pipelines in GCP.
- Manage the endtoend delivery of data solutions on GCP from data ingestion to processing storage and visualization.
- Foster a culture of collaboration continuous learning and innovation within the team.
- Work closely with crossfunctional teams (e.g. data science analytics product and business teams) to understand data requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
- Set clear objectives manage workloads and ensure timely delivery of data initiatives.
Data Architecture and Engineering
- Design and implement robust and scalable data architectures on Google Cloud leveraging GCP services such as BigQuery Dataflow Pub/Sub and Dataproc.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for processing and transforming large datasets.
- Ensure best practices for data governance quality security and compliance are followed in data architecture and engineering.
- Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure teams to deploy and manage infrastructure for data systems.
Technical Strategy and Innovation
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in the data engineering field and Google Cloud Platform recommending innovative solutions to improve team efficiency and product offerings.
- Continuously improve data workflows processing speeds and data storage strategies.
- Provide technical leadership and ensure data engineering practices align with company goals and datadriven initiatives.
