Job Description

THE POSITION

The Department of Environmental Protection is on the lookout for a qualified candidate to take on the role of Air Quality District Supervisor. This position entails overseeing and guiding the work of Air Quality Specialists in the Southeast Region ensuring that the Bureau of Air Qualitys programs are effectively executed in this area. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role you will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks including managing leave requests and usage overseeing flex time and compressed work schedules and ensuring adherence to all relevant policies and procedures. Your duties will also encompass preparing job standards evaluating employee performance addressing disciplinary actions handling grievances at the Step I level and conducting candidate interviews among other responsibilities. Additionally you will hold meetings with staff to communicate policies and procedures effectively. You will also be tasked with tracking emission inventories conducting audits of these inventories and ensuring compliance through inspections and investigations.
