We are seeking a detailoriented and experienced HVAC Quality Control Technician to ensure that heating ventilation and air conditioning systems meet project specifications industry standards and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting HVAC installations identifying deficiencies and supporting the project team in delivering highquality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct onsite inspections of HVAC installations including ductwork piping equipment and controls.

  • Verify compliance with mechanical drawings specifications codes and standards (e.g. ASHRAE SMACNA).

  • Monitor and document all phases of the HVAC installation process to ensure quality and safety.

  • Perform functional tests and commissioning of HVAC systems to verify performance.

  • Generate detailed QC reports punch lists and nonconformance notices.

  • Collaborate with project managers field technicians and subcontractors to resolve issues.

  • Review installation checklists and ensure accurate completion of documentation.

  • Support internal audits and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Stay current with changes in codes regulations and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in HVAC or Mechanical Engineering preferred.

  • 3 years of experience in HVAC installation service or quality control.

  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems codes and quality standards.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints and technical documentation.

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problemsolving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fieldbased environment.

  • Familiarity with quality management systems and reporting tools.

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs climb ladders and work in confined spaces.

  • Comfortable working in various indoor/outdoor environments.
