Job Description

- Conduct onsite inspections of HVAC installations including ductwork piping equipment and controls.
- Verify compliance with mechanical drawings specifications codes and standards (e.g. ASHRAE SMACNA).
- Monitor and document all phases of the HVAC installation process to ensure quality and safety.
- Perform functional tests and commissioning of HVAC systems to verify performance.
- Generate detailed QC reports punch lists and nonconformance notices.
- Collaborate with project managers field technicians and subcontractors to resolve issues.
- Review installation checklists and ensure accurate completion of documentation.
- Support internal audits and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay current with changes in codes regulations and best practices.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in HVAC or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- 3 years of experience in HVAC installation service or quality control.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems codes and quality standards.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints and technical documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fieldbased environment.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and reporting tools.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
- Comfortable working in various indoor/outdoor environments.
