Assistant Professor of Biology
Talladega College is seeking an Assistant Professor to teach Biology courses in the Biology program. This is a tenuretrack position reporting to the Department Chair and is slated to begin in fall 2025.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include teaching Anatomy & Physiology I Anatomy & Physiology II Introductory biology for majors and non majors as well as other courses in the biology curriculum.
Teaching responsibility to include innovative use of technology and student engagement in the classroom.
Other responsibilities include student academic advisement maintaining office hours and service to the college.
Actively serve on college committees and student organizations.
Meet established deadlines.
Other duties as assigned by the Chair Dean or Provost/Vice President of Academic Affairs.
Qualifications
Preferred Ph.D. in Biology or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution with at least 18 graduate hours in biology.
Successful teaching experience at the college level.
Should have documented performance in teaching scholarship and service with an ability to work independently and as a team member. A commitment to student engagement and learning.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
