Summary
CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Transportation group. We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to CHS Transportation Terminal staff. You must be detail oriented organized with excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing daily mail and UPS shipments; compile mailings and distribute incoming mail.
- Order supplies office driver and general supplies.
- Coordinate facilities for driver meetings; assist with travel arrangements when needed.
- Take meeting notes and circulate to staff.
- Assist with special projects; support incident tracking and research roadside inspections; submit documents identifying completion of inspection.
- Administer place orders and address open issues to support the Driver uniform program.
- Maintain quarterly tracking for driver recognition and safety awards.
- Coordinate contract schedules assist gatekeeper with transactions.
- Maintain common carrier database.
- Handle RMA transactions for onboard computers.
- Schedule and deliver key reports; (Example: PeopleNet reports driver scorecards and driver log auditing etc..
- Keep fill support by placing customer calls for daily readings.
- Manage the finalization call line; pull detail and update MOL system with delivery information.
- Update customer systems with delivery data
- Handle daily requests for delivery documentation; scan and send to customers
- Maintain files and complete daily filing including equipment files electronic DVR equipment inspections driver load report files and accounts payable files.
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- High School Diploma
- 1 plus years of administrative experience
- Proficient with MS Word Excel and Outlook
