Job Description
Longview Regional Medical Center is currently hiring RN FT Charge for the PCU East/Telemetry department. Job Duties:
- Evaluates assigned patients and plans implements and documents nursing care
- Assists physicians during examinations and procedures
- Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse
- Promotes patients independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions medications and selfcare skills
- Relies on experience and judgment to perform a variety of tasks and accomplish goals
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of an Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program.
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas or license with a compact state required upon hire
- Approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required within 90 days of hire.
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in the current unit; Charge nurse or other supervisory experience preferred.
