DescriptionWhat we are looking for:
NRC seeks an experienced Global Business Development Adviser Climate to drive new business development strategies and strengthen NRCs funding partnerships. The role will engage donors funders and financial institutions while collaborating with NRCs Country Regional and Head Offices to optimize funding opportunities. This position will enhance NRCsstrategic initiative on climate adaptation in humanitarian response developing value propositions including for private sector engagement. TheGlobal BDAdviser will support NRC in securing complex climate adaptation and mitigation grants and contracts by assisting Country Offices in adapting programs and processes for successful bidding.
The ideal candidate must have the legal right to live and work in the UK.
What you will do:
- Lead on establishing business development processes including mapping funding and actors landscape development of NRCs positioning and influence and strengthening ofinternal ways of working with donors and potential partners to supportNRC climate adaptation ambitions.
- Support and advise Global team on Climate and Environment and country offices to develop their expertise in designing and managing private sector programmes.
- Prospect and network with relevant organisations including commercial sector climate experts financing institutions and groups to strategically preposition NRC for partnership opportunities.
- Develop engagement with government and Parliamentary initiatives roundtables meetings relevant to NRC.
- Identify areas of investment for the organisation to attract innovation programming outcomebased multiyear funding opportunities and partnerships.
- Work closely with the Corporate Team inNRC Head and Representation Officesto actively seekpotential donors partnersat global and countrylevels.

What you will bring:
- Five years of relevant experience in the humanitariandevelopment sector with at least five years in Business Development.
- Track record of successful bidding for commercial/service contracts and/or complex grants.
- Experience in successful lead on business development strategies regional fundraising and partnerships.
- Indepth knowledge of institutional donors strategies priorities and compliance guidelines.
- Experience in strategic approaches to business development.
- Experience working in complex and volatile contexts with a preference for previous experience in the Middle East.
- Understanding of and commitment to working collaboratively with technical and operational colleagues within a matrix structure including capacity building.
- Experience in delivering learning and development as part of quality improvement and capacity building.
- Fluency in English both written and verbal.
- Interest in new business opportunities including commercial partnerships or new types of donors.
- Able to communicate effectively about the links between humanitarian issues and the climate crisis
- Experience of representing NGOs or equivalent bodies in high level meetings preferably related to climate change adaptation and/or mitigation.

- Duty station: London UK.
- Contract: Until December 2026.
- Salary/benefits: grade 9 on NRCs National salary scale with accompanying terms and conditions.
