Job Description

Accent Controls Inc. (ACI) is seeking parttime nonexempt Warehouse Worker II for the Defense Logistics Agency Distribution located in Cherry Point North Carolina

JOB SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Worker IIis responsible for executing the daily tasks associated with the maintenance of the Sites stock record accountability and inventory accuracy goals to include maintenance stock integrity stock readiness stock accuracy quality control sampling and process adherence for warehoused accountable material and processes. The Warehouse Worker II will utilize the Stock Readiness Plan Physical Inventory Plan Training Plan and Quality Control Plan (QCP) to perform job functions in accordance with established Government policies and procedures. This position is Union.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to understand and meet the productivity goals associated with assigned functional area / process to reporting teammates.
  • Follows established guidelines in performing daytoday routine tasks as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Job Breakdown Sheets (JBS)Audit Readiness stards and Technical Manuals.
  • Ability to understand the Acceptable Performance Levels )APLs) associated with assigned functional work areas/process and work expeditiously to meet contractual and team goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and execute all the Various aspects of storage management functions as assigned:
    1. Receiving Functions (Receiving & Induction) Primary Responsibilities: Verifying the correctness of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading invoices manifests storage receipts or other
    2. Checking for damaged goods; insuring that goods are appropriately identified for routing within the facility preparing and keeping records of goods received. Ensuring correct System induction utilizing WMS IAW established Entering and Updating correct information to include Global Weight and cube for each item at time of receiving.
    3. Warehouse (Stow and Storage) Primary Responsibilities: Stow Receipts inappropriate storage areas and Ensure stock material is accurate and stored properly. Ensure material is properly packed and preserved and ready for issue. Comprehend and understand the facility storage plan as outlined by management and SOPs. Gather and report information about stock in stock in storage as required.
    4. Requisition Processing Primary Responsibilities: Pick and Pack Customer requisitions/orders as generated by warehouse management Verifying picks and packs are accurate as compared to requisition documentation (NSN quantity and Condition Code).

Note: All position working in a warehouse facility must be able to lift at least 45 pounds and operate a forklift in accordance with the forklift operations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent).
  • Successful completion of WMS training OSHA compliance and DLA SOP training.

SUMMARY OF JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be U.S. Citizen
  • Possess a valid Drivers License
  • Fluent in speaking reading and writing the English language
  • Training and experience processing Hazardous Material a plus
  • Military or DLA Distribution experience preferable

Working Conditions:

Works on concrete floors and in drafty areas. May be exposed to fumes fluids dirt battery acids etc. resulting in bruises cuts burns and skin irritation. Wearing of protective wear and other safety equipment is required during all periods of exposure to hazardous conditions. Hand trucks dollies and other workers are available for assistance with heavier items.

Physical and Mental Demands

  • Including but not limited to standing squatting lifting (up to 50 pounds); carrying walking; pushing and pulling
