Overview

The Department of Data Analytics and Information Systems in the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University invites applications for a nontenuretrack ninemonth Lecturer with an anticipated starting date of August 1 2025. As part of USUs land grant mission to make academic programs accessible throughout the state the positions will be physically located the USU Salt Lake Center in Taylorsville Utah.

Responsibilities

The successful applicant will teach handson courses within the departments Full Stack Development including Web Development and Mobile Development. Offerings cover a wide range of emerging technologies that are in highdemand in todays workforce full stack app development cloud computing database management and DevOps. Experience and interest in teaching software development in various environments is of particular interest for these positions. The curriculum is continually expanding as industry demands change and we welcome unique course offerings from prospective candidates.


Responsibilities will also focus on student mentoring in the Analytics Solutions Center an organization within the Huntsman School of Business that offers rigorous experiential learning opportunities connecting interdisciplinary student teams with realworld problems from partner companies and organizations. Faculty mentors will provide support and technical guidance on these projects.


Successful candidates will bring industry experience with a passion and proven track record of excellence in teaching and mentoring.

The Department of Data Analytics and Information Systems (DAIS) provides an outstanding opportunity for students to gain the skills and experience needed in an increasingly datadriven world and to use information and data technologies to inform strategic decisionmaking in the private and public sectors. Students in DAIS learn how to problemsolve with advanced database management programming and analytics tools collaborating with faculty who are at the forefront of these fields. The Analytics Solutions Center within the DAIS department provides students across USUs Logan and Statewide campuses with the opportunity to work with corporate partners on large data analytics projects.
