Department Summary
DUs University Honors Program is a community of students faculty and staff who are hungry for knowledge passionate about a wide range of topics and who want to learn in community with one another both within the classroom and beyond.
We accept 100 students each year into a vibrant community of learners.
Our program fosters a distinctive liberal arts education that challenges students to cultivate depth in critical and creative thought and facilitates students original contributions to intellectual life their community and their chosen field.
Position Summary
The University Honors Program offers several 2credit Honors Seminar throughout the academic year. These classes meet once weekly for 110 minutes and are intended for students of all majors. All Honors students are required to take two of these courses in order to graduate with Honors.
The topics explored in these seminars are diverse; they are expected to explore engaging themes that provide students with additional intellectual breadth and a thoughtprovoking break from intensive studies in a major.

Work Schedule
While the Universitys administrative offices are open Monday Friday 8:00 am 4:30 pm faculty schedules vary from term to term and are based on courses taught service commitments and research agendas. The Universitys academic calendars are posted on the registrars website (the law school is on a semester system and has a different academic calendar.

Course Rate
The classes are taught as faculty overload and provide faculty compensation of $2386 per 2credit seminar.
The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate departmental budget availability internal salary equity considerations and available market information but not based on a candidates sex or any other protected status.
