We specialize in family law and are seeking a skilled and dedicated Paralegal to join our team. This is a fulltime inperson role ideal for a detailoriented professional who thrives in a fastpaced environment and is passionate about supporting clients through complex legal matters.

Position Overview

As a Paralegal at Kamal Law Firm you will play a critical role in supporting our attorneys by conducting legal research drafting documents and managing case files with a focus on family law matters. Your expertise and organizational skills will contribute directly to the success of our cases and the satisfaction of our clients. This position requires 35 years of paralegal experience in family law with 5 years preferred and offers a competitive annual salary of $45000 $55000.

Key Responsibilities

  • Legal Research and Document Preparation: Conduct thorough legal research on family law issues including divorce child custody and spousal support. Draft pleadings motions discovery documents and correspondence with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Case Management: Organize and maintain case files track deadlines and ensure all documents are properly filed with courts and administrative agencies. Coordinate with clients opposing counsel and court personnel as needed.
  • Client Support: Serve as a point of contact for clients providing updates on case progress gathering necessary documentation and addressing inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
  • Court and Filing Support: Prepare and file legal documents with courts ensuring compliance with procedural requirements. Assist attorneys with trial preparation including exhibit organization and witness coordination.
  • Discovery and Evidence Management: Assist in drafting and responding to discovery requests organizing evidence and preparing deposition summaries.
  • Billing and Timekeeping: Track billable hours accurately and assist with client invoicing and payment processing in coordination with administrative staff.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all applicable laws court rules and firm policies maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all tasks.



Requirements

Qualifications

  • 35 years of paralegal experience in family law required; 5 years preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of family law procedures terminology and court requirements in Texas.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook) and legal research tools (e.g. Westlaw LexisNexis); experience with case management software is a plus.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients attorneys and court personnel.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Paralegal certification or associate/bachelor s degree in paralegal studies preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency with CLIO is preferred.
