AI Security Consultant
Location: UK (Remote/Hybrid options available)
Type: Fulltime Clearance: Must be eligible for UK SC clearance
Walter Everett is a specialist recruitment company currently supporting our client in the search for an experienced AI Security Consultant. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping secure AI/ML systems and strategies within a forwardthinking organisation.
The Role
As an AI Security Consultant you'll act as a strategic leader in the design implementation and governance of secure AI and machine learning environments. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders technical teams and governance leads to ensure AI/ML systems are secure compliant and ethically aligned.
Accountabilities
- Lead the development and of AI/ML security strategies and frameworks
- Architect secure solutions for AI/ML systems models and data pipelines
- Conduct AIspecific risk assessments and manage threat mitigation efforts
- Oversee security compliance with regulations such as GDPR ISO 27001 and the EU AI Act
- Drive secure data governance and ethical AI policies
- Champion secure DevSecOps practices in AI/ML environments
- Collaborate across teams to integrate AI security into project lifecycles
- Communicate complex risks and solutions to senior stakeholders
Your Skills:
- 7 years of experience in cybersecurity with a strong focus on AI/ML
- Professional security certifications (e.g. CISSP CISM)
- Deep knowledge of AI/ML concepts risks and ethical frameworks
- Experience with security frameworks (NIST ISO 27001 TOGAF SABSA)
- Strong understanding of adversarial machine learning and mitigation techniques
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (Azure AWS GCP)
- Solid grasp of data privacy regulations (GDPR CCPA)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Eligible to obtain UK SC clearance
