Job Description
The Music Teacher is responsible for implementing daily standardbased lessons to support students application of developmentally appropriate skills and concepts in music and music appreciation as well as to engage parents and colleagues in support of the curriculum as prescribed by the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
Essential Functions
- Teaching general styles of music.
- Integrating students of all levels.
- Incorporating musical instruments and movement in lessons.
- Planning and implementing a program of instruction and lesson plans.
- Preparing students for school concerts and planning music experiences.
- Inspiring and motivating students to extend themselves to after school music clubs.
- Building relationships and mentoring students.
Position Qualifications
- Degree in Music Instruction Education or related field.
- MSDE certification in music education or elementary education or the ability to obtain certification in 12 years.
- Experience teaching at the grade school level.
- Knowledge of the Catholic Faith preferred.
Pay Range: $55000 Annualized
