Sales Development ManagerAgriculture & Irrigation Based in VIC NSW SA

Job Summary

A notable opportunity awaits within the worlds wellknown water technology company. Grundfos Pumps Australia are seeking a skilled Sales Development Manager to join our friendly inclusive team based in our VIC NSW or SA office.

Job Purpose

The suitableapplicant will be responsible for creating preference and demand within the agricultural and irrigation markets by providing the best value Grundfos will build on their existing network of contacts by networking and facilitating relationships with key stakeholders in cropping horticulture grazing and irrigation. This personwill understand the needs of the end user and translate these into product and marketing development will identify &track projects through specification to order and work with stakeholders through to project role will also be responsible forsourcing and developing partnerships with complimentary suppliers.

Yourmain responsibilities

  • Being active within the agricultural and irrigation markets connecting to end users and being aware of major projects being undertaken.
  • Supporting consultants design engineers and contractors through feasibility specification and design.
  • Identification and development of new business opportunities andclients with the potential to use Grundfos products and services.
  • Identify and exploit opportunities to implement value added service including service contracts commissioning services assets under management and connected devices.
  • Provide sales and technical support to the channel stakeholders ensuring specification and correct application of Grundfos products.
  • Working with the Sales Managers and Technical Sales Development to identify and develop innovative and saleable product solutions relevant to the market.
  • Develop and maintain a network of key channel contacts.
  • Responsible for identifying and qualifying new accounts.
  • Responsible for developing & maintaining a pipeline of sales opportunities within agriculture and irrigation.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Sales to create and collate relevant technical and commercial marketing documentation and case stories applicable to the channel.
  • Participating and engaging in relevant industry associations to build networks and relationships.
  • Provide outlook of future trends and market behaviour and competitive technologies
  • Ensure all reporting is accurate and presented within an acceptable time frame (including but not limited to expenses).
  • Any other reasonable tasks as requested commensurate with the position.

Your Background

  • Mechanical Hydraulic or Electrical background essential (renewable energy or agtech experience highly regarded)
  • Project management experience is important
  • Experience in the irrigation agriculture and or rural stock industry mandatory (experience with corporate agricultural customers highly regarded)
  • Ability to network and buildgoodrelationships
  • Business development experience with an understanding of working with both distribution and endusers
  • Professional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Comfortable working with computers and Microsoft Office SAP CRM
  • Accountable and looking for solutions
  • Understanding of sales channel management
  • Ability to engage network collaborate and engage internal and external stakeholders
  • Established experience and ability to generate positive outcomes
  • Fact basedchoice
  • Ability to prioritize manage time and work with limited supervision
