Summary:
The Behavioral Health Clinician will spend the majority of their time conducting and documenting clinical assessments and client evaluations.
MajorAreas ofResponsibility:
- ConductingBiopsychosocialassessments
- Utilization reviews discharge summaries and other documentation for insurance and government contract clients
- Crisisandclinicalsupporttoprogramsasneeded
- Groupfacilitation
- Casemanagement andtherapy
- Reviewing and finalizing AOD registered counselors progress notes
- Reviewing and finalizing ASAM and Treatment Plans
- Mental Health Evaluations
SpecificResponsibilities:
- Biopsychosocialassessment
- Conduct full Biopsychosocial interviews with new and existing clients; perform mental status exams.
- Performdutieswithingiventimeframes;meetorexceedweeklyBiopsychosocialquota.
- Meetwith insurance clientstoconductutilization reviewsanddocumentmedical necessity.
- Documentdischargesforinsuranceclientsinatimelymanner.
- Conduct full Biopsychosocial interviews with new and existing clients; perform mental status exams.
- CrisisandClinicalSupporttoPrograms
- Assistprogramswithclinicalandmentalhealthneedsastheyarise.
- Conduct crisis intervention sessions and assess for client stability; suicide and/or Tarasoff assessment may be needed.
- Individual Sessions
- Conduct mental health evaluation assessments and individual sessions. Family and/or couple counseling as needed.

KnowledgeExperience&Skills:
The ideal candidate would have a strongunderstanding ofthe client care landscape with at least two to three years experience. Masters degree needed. If fully graduated registration with the BBS is a must. If still working towards a degree registration as a Radt graduate student with CCAPP needed. In addition the following are strongly desired:
- AMFTACSW APCCorPsyDInterncredentialrequired.
- Experiencewithmentalstatusexamsanddiagnosisaplus.
- Responsivetofeedbackand ateamplayerwhilealsobeingabletoworkindependently.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Computer skills is a must.
- All hours towards this position would be in addition to your existing commitment to CLAREMATRIX.
- Opportunity to gain BBS supervised hours.
- Potential oncall evening and weekend hours.
- Hourly rate base on experience.
MedicalHistory:
All employees whose functions require or necessitate contact with client or food preparation shall complete a health screening report or a health questionnaire. Health screening report or health questionnaire will be provided upon hire. For all residential employees a health screening report be completed and signed off by a medical practitioner signature for clearance. All outpatient employees will complete at minimum a selfreport screening questionnaire.
TB test are to be conducted under licensed medical supervision not more than 60 calendar days prior to or 7 calendar days after employment and renewed annually from the date of the last tuberculosis test. Staff with a known record of tuberculosis or record of positive testing shall not be required to obtain a tuberculosis skin test. Unless there is documentation that the staff completed at least 6 months of preventive therapy the staff shall be required to obtain within 45 calendar days of employment a chest xray result and a physicians statement that the incumbent does not have communicabletuberculosis and has been under regular care and monitoring for tuberculosis. A chest xray within the prior 6 months is acceptable. The physicians statement shall be renewed annually.
PhysicalDemands:
While performing the responsibilities of the job the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel. The employee is occasionallyrequiredtostandwalkreachwitharmsandhandsclimborbalanceandtostoopkneel crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
