These temporary assignments are a wonderful way to become familiar with the people and departments of Pepperdine. Serving in the temporary talent pool is ideal for anyone seeking to gain additional experience or familiarity with the University as they explore fulltime work opportunities as well as those seeking flexible varied and/or shortterm work opportunities.
Common assignments include administrative support and customer service roles requiring strong computer and communication skills. Temporary talent pool members engaged in these assignments may serve to assist with special projects or substitute for fulltime employees who are out of the office for an extended period of time. Upon the completion of a successful application and skills assessment Human Resources will consider candidates of the temporary talent pool for assignments as they become available. The temporary talent pool is not designed to be a permanent arrangement and is periodically adjusted to best serve our community and meet upcoming needs.

Skills and Qualifications
Required: Administrative or general office experience; strong customer service skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint) and Google Workspace; support for the Christian mission of the ability to be productive with minimal training is essential for success in most temporary assignments.
Preferred: Experience with large database systems.
Qualified individuals should be able to show respect for workplace differences and have the ability to work effectively with individuals from different backgrounds.
Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a criminal education and employment screening. The University conducts such screenings in compliance with applicable laws and with the objectives of evaluating risk and supporting a safe environment for students faculty staff and guests; safeguarding key University assets including people property information and the Universitys reputation; and providing comprehensive jobrelated information to University leaders to enable them to make prudent hiring decisions. Qualified individuals with criminal histories will be considered for employment in compliance with applicable laws including the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance.
This is a temporary nonexempt position with varying hours per week dependent on University needs.
Expected Pay Range: $17.28 $21.00 per hour
The above pay range reflects what Pepperdine University reasonably expects to pay for this position at time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant factors such as work experience market conditions education/training and skill level. In addition to base pay Pepperdine offers a robust and highly competitivebenefits package.
