The Medical Billing Assistant is responsible for supporting the daily activities of the Billing Department.
- Print Match Sign and Mail HCFs
- Call hospitals for information tobill out claims
- Send out Physician Certification ofMedical Necessity requests
- Send out patient signature requests
- Communicate with Clients to obtain missinginformation needed to send out claims
- Bill Treated Not Transported (TNT) claims
- Other jobrelated duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE ANDEXPERIENCE
- EMS/Ambulance medical billing office experience a plus
- HS diploma/GED required
- Detail oriented
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy
- Professional phone skills
