Job Description
STV is seeking a Geotechnical Engineering Specialist II for our Geotechnical department at our New York City Boston or Lawrenceville NY office.
Responsibilities:
Assist in geotechnical investigations including field and laboratory testing soil classification and data analysis.
Support the design and analysis of foundations retaining structures and slope stability assessments.
Prepare technical reports calculations and drawings in accordance with industry standards.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate geotechnical findings into project designs.
Conduct site visits to assess geotechnical conditions and oversee construction activities related to foundation and earthwork.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
25 years of experience in geotechnical engineering including site investigations and foundation design.
Proficiency in geotechnical analysis software such as PLAXIS LPILE or similar tools.
Strong technical writing and communication skills.
EIT certification preferred with a willingness to pursue PE licensure.

Compensation Range:
