Human Resource Generalist
Wiese USA one of the nations largest Cat Lift Truck dealers is seeking a Human Resource Generalistfor our corporate team headquartered in St. Louis. Wiese operates from over 40 locations across 25 states. Wiese USA has been a leader in the sales and service of material handling equipment and warehouse management solutions for over 80 years.
In this role you will work alongside business leadership to develop implement and assist on people management practices that align with the Culture and Values of Wiese USA. Please note the Wiese HR Team takes a relational approach to Human Resources rather than being dependent on policy and administration. As such the ideal candidate should have a servants heart a genuine affinity with people and the ability to navigate the intricacies of every situation.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Provide handson and inperson coaching and guidance to Team Members during performance and disciplinary matters.
- Maintains up to date knowledge of legal requirements related to daytoday management of Team Members reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with outside counsel as needed.
- Conducts effective thorough and objective employee relations investigations.
- Provides daily assistance to Team Members on matters of policy benefits payroll coaching etc.
Qualifications
- 4 years of experience in Human Resources with experience in delivering coaching sessions face to face
- Excellent computer skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills
- Agile decisionmaking skills
- A strong desire to mitigate risk not eliminate or avoid it
- Ability and desire to partner with the business rather than consult or police
- Ability to work on site at our corporate office (Olivette MO)
