Job Summary

This role is located at the Anniston Alabama Manufacturing Site to support the Therminol Department. This position will support a growing business in specialty chemicals and the successful candidate will have exciting opportunities to drive businesscritical results. The site has a flexible 9/80 working schedule.

This position involves working with Operations Maintenance Engineers and other support staff. Primary responsibilities are to identify and implement improvements to the manufacturing process in areas of safety environmental productivity quality cost and reliability. The role requires experience in a broad spectrum of chemical processing unit operations instrumentation and controls. Other duties include daytoday troubleshooting assistance with crew projects and monthly production reporting. This position reports to the HTF Manufacturing Manager.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Technical Operational and Maintenance resources to identify develop and implement improvement projects.
  • Provide daily technical support for production processes utilizing technical expertise to resolve plant issues and repairs.
  • Maintain an awareness of Manufacturing concerns through daily interactions with staff Operators and supervision.
  • Drive reliability and other general improvements within the department.
  • Develop and lead efforts in Manufacturing to meet key business and site initiatives while maintaining a focus on safety.
  • Serve as the Manufacturing interface with Engineering and HSES departments as required.
  • Participate in the area maintenance planning process and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate capital project work with the department/site and implement capital projects
  • Develop and prioritize a project portfolio. Coordinate resources for implementation.
  • Provide operational oversight for the MOC process as needed.
  • Provide technical assistance and leadership to Chief Operators and crew teams.
  • Provide backup assistance in the absence of the Manufacturing Supervisor or Manager when needed.
  • Provide occasional weekend duty coverage for the department once onboarding /training is complete.
  • Communicate effectively and appropriately with all stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with DeltaV or similar DCS systems preferred
  • Experience troubleshooting and correcting issues with transmitters sensors variable frequency drives pneumatics valves motors and communications preferred
  • Experience with Six Sigma tools PSM processes and quality tools a plus

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Engineering from an ABETaccredited school Chemical Engineering preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a chemical manufacturing plant; 5 years or more preferred.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Must be able to utilize typical personal protective equipment and access equipment throughout the plant on multiple levels
