The Opportunity:
The Data Science team at AT&T strives to lead transformation through datadriven decisions that advance the customer experience and businesses around the world. With access to one of the coolest and largest data sets available we enable the discovery and development of meaningful insights that inspire continuous innovation.
We are seeking an experienced selfdriven Data Engineer who is comfortable being part of a small skunk works team responsible for building designing and endtoend ownership of a scalable software product tasked to deliver intelligent datadriven products.
Responsibilities:
- Develop highperformance scalable distributed computing tasks using Python PySpark and other distributed environment technologies.
- Design develop and maintain scalable data pipelines for collecting processing and storing large datasets.
- Deploy and integrate Generative AI models including Large Language Models (LLMs) into production environments.
- Implement effective prompt engineering strategies to enhance model performance and outputs.
- Utilize FastAPI for creating robust APIs and write efficient Python code to support data processing model deployment and AIdriven solutions.
- Use big data programming languages and technology to write code complete programming and documentation and perform testing and debugging of applications.
- Analyze design program debug and modify software enhancements and/or new products used in distributed largescale analytics and visualization solutions.
- Interact with data scientists and industry experts to understand how data needs to be converted loaded and presented.
- Work in a highly agile environment.
- Manage daytoday work and deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background:Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering or Scientific Computing preferred.
- Experience:Typically requires 12 plus years of relevant experience.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Python Scala and SQL.
- Expertise / Experience in UI / Frontend using
- Handson experience with popular front end and backend frameworks.
- Expertise in backend API development or Integration using FastAPI Flask or Django.
- Experience with React JS and other front end frameworks and data processing and analysis libraries such as Pandas NumPy and PySpark.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Domain Knowledge:Familiarity with telecom datasets.
- Cloud Expertise:Experience with Azure cloud services.
- Communication Skills:Strong ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management understand business requirements and define project roadmaps.
