DoD SkillBridge Internship Quality Control Specialist (Must be Active Duty Military Servicemember)

Quality Control Specialist
This position will support the Project Quality Manager by assisting with the of Quality Control Plan (QCP) for multiple UMCS projects on US Army installations in Northern Alaska.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support quality control activities.
- Assist with the project testing inspections and reporting.
- Attend meetings and inspections.
- Work within a quality control team.
- Only active military personnel will be considered for this role. Acceptance into the position requires military approval. Those selected will continue to be paid under their current wage/benefits with the military and will not be paid by Siemens.
Qualifications:
U.S. Military experience as an E4 or above (Navy Air Force Army Marines Coast Guard Space Force National Guard Reserves)
- Only active military personnel will be considered for this role. Acceptance into the position requires military approval. Those selected will continue to be paid under their current wage/benefits with the military and will not be paid by Siemens
- High school diploma or staterecognized GED
- Experience in the installation and maintenance of security products; 1 years preferred
- Ability to read and understand design and construction documents
- Ability to meet local or state safety requirements within 1 year
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel and Outlook)
- Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers
- Must possess a valid drivers license in good standing
- Must be at least 21 years of age to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Reports directly to Solutions Operations supervisor/manager
- Does not supervise others
- Peer to other technicians and specialists
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and move heavy equipment and tools.
- Ability to work in a variety of circumstances including climbing ladders scaffolds and highlift equipment and working in ducts crawl spaces and above ceilings.
- Work is generally performed in customer locations in a local area and may include time spent on construction sites. These sites may have a moderate noise level and regular distractions.
- Must be able to perform movements such as reaching climbing standing and bending.
- Compressed schedule performance can be a factor and will require extended hours to meet commitments.
- Minimal overnight travel.
