Job Description
The Fort McMurray Roman Catholic Separate School Division is seeking fulltime 1.0 FTE) Elementary School (Division 1 & 2 Teacher(s) at multiple schools for Semester 2 for the remainder of theschool year. This is a temporary position(s) for maternity coverage with possibility of extension thereafter.
Duties of Elementary School teachers may include but not limited to the following:
- identify students individual and collective learning needs
- plan and deliver instruction based on student learning needs and special needs
- provide a stimulating learning environment in which each student can experience growth and develop to his or her potential
- help students learn appropriate knowledge skills and attitudes.
- meet with parents
- evaluate and communicate student progress
- prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help
- meet with other professionals to discuss individual student needs and progress
- volunteer to supervise extracurricular and afterschool activities
- attend meetings seminars and inservice training sessions.

What you bring:
- Must be eligible for Alberta Teacher Certification and hold a Bachelor of Education Degree

The successful candidate will be required to provide a Criminal Reference Check and a Vulnerable Sector Check. FMCSD will contact past and present employers for references. All FMCSD employees are expected to be computer literate; this includes fluency with email Internet and MS Office.
