Location:Alexandria VA (DC Metro Area)
Work Environment:Hybrid (flexibility to transition to 100 onsite as necessary)
Clearance Requirement:Public Trust Clearance (Candidates with GovCon experience preferred)
Experience Requirement:Minimum of 8 years in data engineering

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team supporting a large federal agency in Alexandria VA. This role offers the opportunity to lead significant transformations in Enterprise Data Analytics and Services with responsibilities for optimizing data pipelines flow and data science initiatives. Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance existing data and analytics platforms including the Data Science Environment focusing on tools such as R Studio Pro & Jupyter Hub.
- Construct optimal data pipelines for data extraction transformation and loading from various sources.
- Conduct data analysis at scale implement algorithms/models for insights in large datasets and deploy applications in a cloudbased processing environment.
- Design and implement predictive machine learning and AI technologies for scalable realworld applications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders crossteams and business users to resolve datarelated technical issues.
- Identify and execute internal process improvements for scalability optimization and automation.
- Investigate and resolve incidents by determining root causes and implementing solutions.
- Enhance the accuracy scalability and reliability of machine learning models.
- Prepare data for analysis and create visualizations to facilitate understanding and use of analytical insights.
- Provide administrative support to customers and train staff on analytical and data science tools aiding in their transition to production.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in data engineering including designing developing evaluating and deploying predictive models and machine learning.
- Extensive expertise in Collibra covering data governance cataloging lineage and AI governance.
- Proficient in deploying and supporting AWS cloud technologies with expertise in AWS storage security data lake databases and serverless computing.
- Strong understanding of machine learning techniques such as decision trees neural networks deep learning and statistical methods including classification collaborative filtering sentiment analysis topic modeling and timeseries analysis.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills suitable for both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to listen to client needs and build consensus within teams.
- Ability to work independently collaborate effectively with teams and provide leadership.
- Experience working with external clients particularly on federal government programs and projects.
