Job Description

ROUTE SETTER APPRENTICE
Bouldering Projects Setting Program seeks to provide varied and interesting climbing at all ability levels. Setters must demonstrate a high level of teamwork and willingness to learn. The current setting schedule is Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM. Reports to Head Setter.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 2 years climbing experience
- Team work communication skills and the ability to receive and implement feedback gracefully
- Passion for climbing and community
- Desire to continually work to improve own climbing and setting skills
- Ability to climb V5 in many styles comfortably is preferred
DUTIES
- Participate in and contribute to team forerunning of the majority of boulder problems
- Assist in wall maintenance tasks as they arise during the setting day
- Help maintain setting shop and equipment
- Perform settingrelated tasks as directed by Head Setter
- Maintain professional relationships with other BP staff
- Interact with customers and be a positive representative of BP in the community
- Occasionally work additional hours (may include nights and weekends) for special settingrelated events
- Other duties as assigned
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Scheduled for 13 setting days per week (In general 8am 4pm)
- Additional hours in other departments may be available upon request.

$21 $23 an hour
WORKING CONDITIONS
Many duties require the availability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs and events including possible evenings and weekends. Duties often occur before and after regular business hours.
