As a Senior Technical Designer you will be at the forefront of supporting our design teams with technical knowledge and implementation support for our open world and missionrelated content on a new unannounced game. In addition you will function as a bridge between technology and design providing advice and guidance on how to improve our pipelines tooling and more.
This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position with some work onsite and some workfromhome. The home studio for this role is Irvine CA.
Responsibilities
Design implementation of technically challenging content in Unreal Engine 5 blueprint.
Provide technical support to designers aiding in problemsolving and implementation challenges.
Champion efforts to improve workflows driving efficiency and productivity.
Work closely with engineering teams to refine workflows and tool changes.
Diagnose debug and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
Contribute to mission creation and gameplay system design.
Minimum Requirements
5 years experience with handson design implementation (level systems encounters UI etc.
Shipped at least one AAA title.
Highly skilled in scripting and creating engaging missions or quests.
Specific experience with Unreal Engine and mission scripting through blueprint.
Demonstrated experience in pipeline development and process enhancement.
Capable of crafting comprehensive design documents for tools and game systems.
Pluses:
Previous design experience for open world / campaign games.
Familiarity with programming and scripting languages such as C C# Blueprint Lua or JavaScript.
Deep knowledge of Blizzard universes.
Strong documentation philosophies and strategies to evangelize your designs.
Wide and indepth knowledge of a variety of video game genres and titles.

These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately your specific range and offer will be based on several factors including relevant experience performance and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this roles range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed. While we strive to provide competitive offers to successful candidates new hire compensation is negotiable.
