Job Description
Faculty Associate positions are one semester nonbenefitseligible fixedterm appointments with no tenure implications not to exceed an average of .40 FTE per semester. The number of courses is contingent upon unit needs funding and sufficient enrollment. Salary is based on qualifications and assigned teaching load.

Essential Functions of the Position:
- Teach courses in relevant areas inperson online hybrid or a combination thereof
- Hold office hours to support students
- Monitor student progress
Required Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Political Science Sociology Social and Behavioral Sciences Social Justice and Human Rights Sociocultural Anthropology or related field at the time of hire
Desired Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Political Science Sociology Social and Behavioral Sciences Social Justice and Human Rights Sociocultural Anthropology or related field at the time of hire
- Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with students from a wide variety of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds including firstgeneration college students
- Evidence of teaching excellence e.g. student evaluations syllabi peer observation annual evaluations etc.
- Experience teaching in an online modality
- Ability to teach qualitative and/or quantitative methods
