Collins Aerospace has an opportunity for Inspection Technician V position. Serves as the primary point of contact for daily inspection operations at the Miami Facility. Oversees and conducts thorough inspections of a wide range of productssuch as parts assemblies raw materials tooling and instrumentsensuring they meet all design specifications drawings and contract requirements. These inspections take place at critical stages of the manufacturing process utilizing a variety of basic yet effective inspection tools and methods. Additionally serves as the key backup for all inspection functions including receiving and source inspections guaranteeing consistent quality and compliance across all stages of production.

Position is 100 Onsite at Miami Facility

Work Shift : 1st Shift (Monday Friday)

What You Will Do:

  • Inspects a variety of Landing Gear using measuring/inspection instruments (e.g. micrometers gauges and calipers) with proper inspection techniques.

  • Reads interprets and utilizes Quality policies procedures blueprints and other documentation.

  • Performs receiving inprocess final inspection source inspection & and tested hardware and components.

  • Directs & tracks workflow through the inspection cell and prioritizes orders as necessary. Including tracking hardware that are pending MRB decisions and 1st article approvals.

  • Serves as the primary focal for inspection method and gauge use questions for all direct labor staff. Trains and mentors current and new inspection staff.

  • Operates computer systems to perform inspection tasks (SAP Teamcenter Smart solve labor charging).

  • Verifies all work order documentation for accuracy and completeness.

  • Administers visual and physical inspections of units and subassemblies.

  • Performs administrative tasks associated with files management.
