Teaching Assistant/Support Worker
Prospero Teaching is currently looking for a positive and energetic Teaching Assistant to work for Primary & Secondary schools acrossLondon England UK.

Key responsibilities:
- Supporting children across the curriculum often with a particular focus on maths reading and writing
- Providing extra help to children with special needs or those for whom English is not their first language
- Helping develop programmes of learning activities and adapting appropriate materials
- Motivating and encouraging pupils
- Assisting with marking and correcting work
- Attending meetings and reviews
- Helping with school events trips and activities
- Supervising work that has been set in accordance with the school policy
- Managing the behaviour of pupils while they are undertaking this work to ensure a constructive environment
- Responding to any questions from pupils about processes and procedures
- Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the schools policies and procedures
- Collecting any completed work after the lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher
- Reporting back as appropriate using the schools agreed referral procedures on the behaviour of pupils during the class and any issues arising
To qualify you must:
- Be eligible to work in the UK (i.e. Work visa or UK passport)
- Have sensitivity understanding and patience
- Be able to remain calm in stressful situations
- Have a positive attitude and desire to work with children
- Be flexible and open to change
- Have excellent verbal communication skills
