AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design planning delivery and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words were the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers storage networking power and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain and were looking for talented people who want to help.
Youll join a diverse team of software hardware and network engineers supply chain specialists security experts operations managers and other vital roles. Youll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Amazon Route 53 is a highly available and scalable Domain Name System (DNS) service offered by Amazon Web Services. We operate in over 50 locations worldwide and provide advanced functionality such as latencybased routing (LBR) Private DNS Geo DNS routing DNS failover and integration with Amazon CloudFront Amazon S3 and Amazon Elastic Load Balancing. On top of that we offer fast change propagation with a 100 availability SLA. Our service is quickly growing and were expanding in multiple directions: adding new features and functionality to our DNS services better traffic management new AWS integrations improving our health check capabilities and expanding with new services in the naming and routing space. Amazon Route 53 is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our Edge Platforms Team. In this role you will design develop and operate services and systems for our global edge fleets. The ideal candidate has experience working on distributed systems networking and low level opti and Infrastructure and thrives in a highly collaborative creative analytical and fastpaced environment.

The Incident Prevention team is looking for experienced software engineers who are excited about building large scale systems spanning tens of thousands of servers across multiple datacenters worldwide. These are core systems development positions where you will own the design and development of significant software components critical to our industry leading database services architected for the cloud.
In this hands on position you will be asked to do everything from building rocksolid components to mentoring other engineers. You need to not only be a top software developer with a good track record of delivering but also excel in communication leadership and customer focus. This is a unique and rare opportunity to get in on the ground floor within a fast growing business and help shape the technology product and the business. A successful candidate will bring deep technical and software expertise and ability to work within a fast moving startup environment in a large company to deliver high quality code that has a broad business impact.
3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
