The Amazon Canadas Hardlines team is seeking a selfdriven Vendor Manager to support our Vendor Management team and our vendor partners. Youll work with strategic vendors to drive business growth analyze data to identify key brands build longterm relationships resolve operational and business issues and lead negotiations on Amazons behalf. Youll play a critical role in managing strategic and established brands to drive profitability and topline performance (P&L) for your category/brands.

The Vendor Manager will have the opportunity to engage with multiple internal teams to optimize product line performance for key vendors on Amazon. They will utilize strong communication skills to collaborate with internal crossfunctional partners such as site merchandising buying pricing inventory management operations online marketing and finance to drive performance for their business.

Key job responsibilities
Manage P&L with a longterm perspective developing datadriven plans to sustainably improve revenue and margins while balancing shortterm and longterm tradeoffs.
Conduct thorough analysis of key inputs and their downstream effects on pricing selection and convenience using data to inform decisions and identify areas for improvement.
Cultivate strategic vendor relationships through transparent negotiations and collaborative growth initiatives.
Continuously innovate to enhance the customer experience driving broad adoption by simplifying processes and removing friction points.
Manage project with a bias for action creating detailed project plans and holding teams accountable for highquality timely deliverables.
Drive crossfunctional commitments from Marketing Engineering and Category Management teams fostering open dialogue and aligning on shared goals.

As a Vendor Manager your typical day involves:
Cultivating vendor relationships to drive longterm business growth
Negotiating contracts and developing Joint Business Plans with vendors
Analyzing category metrics to prepare for weekly business reviews
Collaborating with vendors and internal teams to expand product selection
Finalizing promotional plans for upcoming events
Working with crossfunctional teams to develop and implement new product features
Identifying and executing strategies to improve sales and margins
Creating and refining customer experiences to maintain bestinclass standards
1 years of account management project or program management or buying experience
Bachelors degree
Experience using Excel and other business analytic tools
Experience with software and editing tools (including HTML Excel and SQL)
Experience in online retail
Experience using analytical specific tools such as Google Analytics SQL or HTML

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $48300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $103400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
