thyssenkrupp Materials NA Inc. seeks a Plant Manager I in Bolingbrook IL.
Duties: Provide leadership and direction to ensure continual efficient and uniform plant operations; develop and implement plans to increase reliability and continually improve quality and efficiencies of products and services; supervise branch production using production planning tools; correct and clarify incorrect warehouse procedures; develop plans and procedures to ensure employee and visitor safety; ensure operations and equipment are in compliance with corporate guidelines and OSHA standards; verify inventory and make adjustments; hire train motivate and discipline warehouse employees; schedule and oversee training; evaluate and recommend new equipment purchases and ensure maintenance of equipment to provide maximum availability and minimum down time; monitor quality and process improvement using SAP reports; facilitate lean practices; purchase or direct purchase of warehouse supplies; assist logistics in ensuring that trucks and drivers are compliant with transportation requirements; assist in contract negotiations.
Requirements: Master degree in Industrial Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field of study or foreign equivalent degree. In lieu of a Master degree will accept Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field of study or foreign equivalent degree and two 2 years of work experience in direct warehouse supervision or team leadership. Education must include one semester of study in each of following: Lean Manufacturing; Quality Control/Management; Project management; Design and Control of production and manufacturing systems; Engineering Economic Analysis. In lieu of one semester of study in any of the above will accept 6 months of work experience in the same.

Wage range: $109000 $125000 per year.
