Position Summary

We are seeking dedicated and detailoriented PartTime Development Coordinators to join our team. These roles will support donor stewardship annual giving special events and special projects for various schools and colleges within the University of Denver. The successful candidates will work closely with the development leaders in their assigned school or colleges(s) to enhance donor relations and support fundraising initiatives.

This is a nonbenefited position not to exceed 1000 hours in a calendar year.

Essential Functions

Annual Giving

  • Serve as a liaison to the central annual giving team providing unitlevel strategy and information supporting campuswide appeals.
  • In partnership with the unitbased development team identify priorities and funds for minicampaigns on both an adhoc and annual basis and lead development and of appeals.
  • In partnership with the unitbased development team define and identify key metrics for constituent moves management from annual giving to leadership annual giving as well as major and planned giving.
  • Identify and manage data needs related to annual giving.
  • Oversee annual participation in 1Day4DU coordinating closely with central annual giving alumni engagement and major gift officers.

Stewardship

  • In partnership with the unitbased development team steward annual and leadership annual giving donors for targeted priorities and funds through thoughtful impactbased communications.
  • Partner with Donor Relations and Stewardship on impact reports for nonendowed funds and programs.
  • Partner with the unitembedded Marketing and Communications and Advancement to identify donor stories to promote fundraising initiatives.

Event Assistance

  • Assist in planning and executing of unitbased fundraising events ensuring all logistical details are managed efficiently.
  • Provide administrative support for board and council meetings including scheduling preparing agendas and taking minutes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for event participants donors and board members ensuring clear and timely communication.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers to secure necessary resources and services for events.
  • Assist in managing event budgets tracking expenses and ensuring costeffective solutions.
  • Support the development and distribution of promotional materials to increase event visibility and participation.
  • Handle postevent followup including thankyou notes feedback collection and reporting on event outcomes.

Special Projects

  • Assist in the planning and monitoring of special projects ensuring all tasks are completed on time and within scope.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support including scheduling meetings preparing documentation and maintaining project records.
  • Act as a liaison between project stakeholders ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collect analyze and report on project data to track progress identify issues and support decisionmaking.
  • Identify and address projectrelated challenges proposing effective solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices and process improvements to enhance project outcomes.

  • Serve as an active and collaborative partner to central and unitbased advancement functions and other campus colleagues to foster strategic effective and collaborative talent management practices.

  • Ability to plan execute and monitor projects effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills for scheduling preparing documentation and maintaining records.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with stakeholders donors and team members.
  • Aptitude for identifying challenges and proposing effective solutions.
  • Competence in managing event budgets and tracking expenses.
  • Keen eye for detail and commitment to quality in planning events managing data and preparing reports.
  • Flexibility to handle adhoc projects and changing priorities with a strong customer service attitude.
  • Ability to manage time well particularly while handling competing priorities.
  • Willingness to take initiative maintain a positive attitude and uphold a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work effectively with central and unitbased teams fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Adept at problemsolving critical thinking and using judgment in situations requiring sensitivity and tact.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education or work experience (Veterans with equivalent combination of military certification/education and experience may substitute for the degree qualification)
  • 2 years of professional administrative constituent relations or related experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in higher education or similarly complex nonprofit organization
  • Experience supporting fundraising efforts

Working Environment

  • Standard open office environment
  • Noise level is quiet to moderate
  • Eligible for hybrid work

Physical Activities

  • Ability to sit in front of a computer for an extended period
  • Must be willing and able to travel between multiple buildings across campus and to move computer hardware from building to building with assistance (occasionally up to 20lb)

Hourly Range

The hourly range for the position is $24.50 $27.10.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate departmental budget availability internal salary equity considerations and available market information but not based on a candidates sex or any other protected status.
