Job Description

The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Department of Nursing is seeking a Medical Assistant II to perform specific tasks to assist members of the Nursing team in providing patient care under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager.

Percent of Time: 50
Schedule: 20 hours per week day shift
Location:Stead Family Childrens Hospital (SFCH)
Rotations:no weekends no holidays no oncall
Salary: $20055.24 per year

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant or completion of a recognized one year Medical Assistant Program orCompletion of a health care profession programwith a curriculum incorporating elements of a Medical Assistant program including but not limited to: pathophysiology medical terminology basic pharmacology and medication administration including dose calculation and psychology.

  • Certified Medical Assistant is preferred
