Position Summary
The Social Media Communications Coordinator will work as a member of the University Relations team to elevate the universitys brand presence quickly respond to any crises or issues on behalf of the brand across a variety of social media channels and proactively create content to support University Relations initiatives typically under tight deadlines.
The ideal candidate will have background and interest in social media communications and/or crisis response and content creation with the ability to anticipate potential risks develop response strategies and support proactive messaging. This role requires the ability to define and analyze complex problems make sound decisions independently and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders across the university. This position must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills adaptability to changing priorities and a commitment to the University of Denvers values including diversity equity and inclusion.

Working Environment
Due to the nature of this position frequent oncampus work is required. The successful incumbent must live in or be willing to relocate to the Denver metro area. The University Relations division has a flexible work arrangement with its employees allowing for both community and culture building in office and remote work from home when appropriate.
Standard office environment: Activities are primarily performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse 75; job may require limited varying lengths of time and travel moderate distances to perform work 25
Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts
Regularly performs work which requires traveling on uneven surfaces and exposure to external environmental conditions as part of photo and video shoots.
Some travel as well as weekend or afterhours work will be required to fulfill duties.
Unexpected interruptions occur often and stress level is moderate to high.
Noise level is quiet to moderate.

Work Schedule
Monday Friday 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m. In accordance with the Universitys flexible work policy this position is eligible to be considered for partial remote work. Further details regarding this plan will be determined with the hiring manager and are dependent on the division and team specific needs.

Salary Grade Number:
The salary grade for the position is 8.
Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $56500 $60000.
The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate departmental budget availability internal salary equity considerations and available market information but not based on a candidates sex or any other protected status.
