of Job Duties:The ideal candidate for this openrank position has demonstrated productivity in entrepreneurship or in the industrial government nonprofit or academic sectors. They have had a lead role in one or more projects in the areas of food health augmented reality or cybersecurity that utilize relevant subject matter expertise in topics such as cellular agriculture genomics nutrition artificial Intelligence internet of medical things medical imaging bioelectronics wearable devices neuroscience regulatory science public health law or policy in which they have worked in teams and delivered measurable outcomes. They have also demonstrated capabilities in establishing policies and processes that support growth in these areas and have experience in developing or implementing STEM education or workforce training programs. In addition they will have publications in peer reviewed journals and have been invited to present at key conferences and seminars at regional and national or international levels commensurate with rank.

The candidate is expected to establish teams to define and meet research and entrepreneurial objectives to secure funding through grants and contracts to establish policies and procedures to support the R&D agenda to disseminate knowledge and to participate in program related national and international events. The candidate is also expected to develop and lead a regionaltoglobal outreach and engagement effort. The candidate must have a strong commitment to working in an inclusive teambased missiondriven agile and flexible environment.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Ph.D. or terminal degree in a field related to the Institutes missionconferred by the start of employment

  • Experience supervising technical staff or mentoring graduate students

  • Evidence of productivity and an active research or entrepreneurship agenda commensurate with rank

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with engagement with Industry notforprofit governmental organizations nationally and internationally

  • Experience leading project teams

  • Knowledge of translational pathways to move food medical technology data science or cybersecurity solutions to commercialization

  • Demonstrable subject matter expertise

  • Understanding of regulatory considerations for commercialization of food or medical technologies

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Knowledge dissemination through formal or informal avenues

  • Record of securing successful contract grant foundation or other external funding
