The candidate is expected to establish teams to define and meet research and entrepreneurial objectives to secure funding through grants and contracts to establish policies and procedures to support the R&D agenda to disseminate knowledge and to participate in program related national and international events. The candidate is also expected to develop and lead a regionaltoglobal outreach and engagement effort. The candidate must have a strong commitment to working in an inclusive teambased missiondriven agile and flexible environment.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
A Ph.D. or terminal degree in a field related to the Institutes missionconferred by the start of employment
Experience supervising technical staff or mentoring graduate students
Evidence of productivity and an active research or entrepreneurship agenda commensurate with rank
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with engagement with Industry notforprofit governmental organizations nationally and internationally
Experience leading project teams
Knowledge of translational pathways to move food medical technology data science or cybersecurity solutions to commercialization
Demonstrable subject matter expertise
Understanding of regulatory considerations for commercialization of food or medical technologies
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Knowledge dissemination through formal or informal avenues
Record of securing successful contract grant foundation or other external funding
