Job Description

Position Summary
The Paul H. ONeill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University seeks to fill a nontenure position at the rank of Lecturer to teach courses in Community and Organizational Leadership Studies on its Indianapolis campus. We foster an interdisciplinary educational environment and welcome applicants with a Ph.D. in fields closely related to leadership studies (i.e. public leadership communications organizational psychology management etc.. The successful candidate will be prepared to develop and deliver both undergraduate and graduate courses in leadership studies relevant to the practice of leading and managing in both organizations and communities. The successful candidate will start no later than August 1 2025. The successful candidate will provide evidence of effective classroom instruction and achievement of learning outcomes. Candidates also are expected to describe their experience with mentoring students from diverse backgrounds including firstgeneration students lowincome students racial ethnic and orientationbased minorities. The standard teaching assignment for nontenure track lecturers in the ONeill School is eight courses per year 4/4 load) and are delivered across a range of modalities (facetoface online hybrid). Lecturers also engage in professional development of teaching as well as service commensurate with their assigned teaching load. Annual teaching loads may be variable depending on service commitments.
