Responsibilities
We are seeing a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Urgent Care team. As a Medical Assistant in our Urgent Care facility you will play a vital role in providing highquality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.
- Greet and prepare patients for examination including taking vital signs documenting medical history and preparing exam rooms.
- Assist healthcare providers during medical procedures examinations and minor surgical interventions.
- Perform basic laboratory tests such as blood draws urinalysis and pointofcare testing.
- Administer medications vaccines and treatments as directed by healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate electronic medical records (EMR) and patient charts.
- Handle patient inquiries schedule appointments and coordinate referrals as needed.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and medical office software.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced clinic environment and prioritize tasks.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) / Mandatory Reporter.
