Position Summary The School of Nursing at The University of Tulsa seeks applications for a fulltime tenuretrack position to teach in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs for the 202324 academic year beginning in August 2023. Salary and benefits commensurate with experience teaching and current professional status. The Oxley College of Health Sciences seeks creative collaborative and committed candidates who thrive in a highly adaptable flexible environment with strong support from top leadership. This is a tremendous opportunity for a tenuretrack faculty member to join a young successful growing college of health sciences in their new stateofthe art facilities. Successful candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to and evidence of excellence in research teaching and service. Read more about the Oxley College of Health Sciences (link to: Responsibilities The ideal candidate will teach the equivalent of 6 credit hours each semester within the nursing programs including research topics and content in an area of expertise. Service responsibilities include work with department college and/or university committees as well as student mentoring taking an active role in recruiting curriculum development assessment and accreditation and making connections with related programs on campus. The ideal candidate should also conduct and publish research in the candidates chosen field that would lead to tenure. Required Qualifications
PhD/EdD in Nursing or related degree; BSN and/or Masters degree in Nursing; graduate of an accredited college/school of nursing; current unencumbered license as a registered nurse in Oklahoma or eligible to obtain a license; ability to communicate with students who are at various stages of their education; eagerness to teach undergraduate and graduate nursing students; and an enthusiasm for contributing to the university community.
