Job Description

Job Title: Mass Market Representative

Location: Cameroon

Job Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and resultsdriven Pharmacy Sales Representative to join our clients team. This role is essential for promoting pharmaceutical products to pharmacies and healthcare professionals ensuring that the clients offerings effectively meet the needs of patients and providers.

The ideal candidate will drive expert recommendation on key brands through the effective selling detailing and merchandising of our clients brands to all relevant HCPs (Pharmacists Pharmacy assistants Front shop assistants Clinic sisters and other as may be determined from time to time) inline with our clients relevant Policy & Procedures and local regulatory & ethical code guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Promotion: Actively promote and sell the clients pharmaceutical products to pharmacies achieving sales targets and objectives.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships within the pharmacy channel to maximise business opportunities and grow the business.
  • Market Research: Conduct market analysis to identify potential clients and understand the competitive landscape adapting strategies as necessary.
  • Product Expertise: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the clients product portfolio including indications contraindications and clinical data to provide accurate information to clients. Detail pharmacists and pharmacy assistants and train staff instore during planned Lunch & Learn sessions 6 per month).
  • Training and Support: Offer training and support to pharmacy staff on product usage benefits and compliance with regulations.
  • Coordination: Coordinate the efforts of assigned 3rd Party merchandising agents.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on sales activities market trends and client feedback to management.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate the order to meet demand and expected offtake and pull through of stock and negotiate adequate share of shelf (SoS) forward share (in line with market share) to drive consumption.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with the customer relationship management tool.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A university degree (preferably in science medical or paramedical field FMCG).
  • Experience: 13 years proven experience in pharmaceutical sales or a related field with a strong understanding of pharmacy operations and FMCG.
  • Skills: Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with clients.
  • SelfMotivated: Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently to achieve sales goals.
