Job Description
Nature and Scope
Under the direction of Director of the Childcare Center the substitute teacher aide will be responsible for facilitating the day to day operations of the center or helping the teacher facilitate the daily operations of the center. The substitute teacher aide will monitor and ensure safety and program guidelines in their classroom provide a safe happy and positive environment for all children plan and implement all activities appropriate for 05 yearolds complete DRDP assessments as needed and communicate with parents as needed.

Compensation
Compensation Philosophy:
- We have 6 pay increments on our clinical pay scales to compensate successful candidate for 6 years of relevant experience
Compensation Range:
- $18.00 $22.97 / hour
Job Status / Shift Information
Limited parttime
Qualifications
Education:
- Six 6 completed units of early childhood education andenrolled in at least 2 semester units at a college until fully qualified or possess a teaching credential.
Experience:
- On the job training provided.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Title 22 Regulations
- Planning and implementing curriculum for children ages 05 years
- Current principles and practices of early childhood education in a playbased family centered program
- Family inclusion and education
- Completing observations related to the DRDP
Other Requirements:
- DOJ and FBI Fingerprint Clearance.
- Eight 8 hours of Preventative Health and Safety Training within three 3 months of hire
Must meet physical requirements as stated on job description addendum
Responsibilities
- Helps the teacher(s) with all aspects of their classroom(s) which includes ensuring compliance with Community Care Licensing Title 22 Regulations and all requirements pertaining to health safety standards and emergency procedures of the site.
- Communicate with classroom teacher(s) regarding any concerns or feedback from families or volunteers
- Participates in professional growth activities throughout the year both selfinitiated and Director initiated.
- Helps to implement age appropriate principles practices and curriculum for children ages 05 years
- Exercise tact diplomacy and good judgement when interacting with families and/or volunteer

Child Care:
- PDH is thrilled to provide our Child Care Center services to all families in our area. Our program is operational from 7:45am to 5:15pm Monday through Friday and is approved for children aged 0 to 5 years. After submitting your application our Child Care Director will get in touch with you about your acceptance into the program. Once approved we will start the enrollment process. PDH employees take priority on our waiting list. For any additional questions please contact our Child Care Center Director ator.
