Prospero Teaching is hiring for a mediumsized mixed secondary school in West London UK is seeking a History teacher to join the team in September 2025. The ideal History teacher will be qualified have a degree related to History subject and be a passionate educator.
This secondary school is located 30 minutes from Central London using public transport and has a relatively low cost of living and property rental prices are very reasonable. Whether you like a quieter life or if you wantto access the hustle and bustle of Central London this is a great place to live. If you are an overseas teacher thinking about relocating to a place near London dont hesitate as the Headteacher is open to holding Zoom interviews.
The successful candidate will:
- Have excellent subject knowledge in History
- Have experience of raising attainment in a challenging classroom environment
- Have a genuine belief in the potential of every child
- Have high expectations for all pupils
- Have a flexible can do attitude
- Successfully manage classes and deal with challenging behaviour
- Encourage students to reach their full potential
- Be patient and have a good sense of humour
Qualifications:
- Have a Bachelor of Education or equivalent with good standing
- You hold the right to work and teach in the UK (UK Passport Ancestry Visa Spousal Visa or Youth Mobility Visa)
- Be eligible for QTS
- Have uptodate Safeguarding training within the last year (Prospero offers accredited CPD training)
- Successfully undergo RCMPcertified criminal record checks
- Provide at least two professional teaching references covering the last two years
