PRIMARY DUTY:TheSchool of Health Science and Wellness at Northwest Missouri State University is seeking adjunct faculty to teach online courses in the following academic disciplines: Health & Physical Education Recreation Therapeutic Recreation and Sport Management. Courses are primarily at the graduate level but undergraduate teaching opportunities may also be available.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Earned Doctorate degree in specific disciplines listed above
Experience: Prior experience in online classroom instruction and work in specific discipline
Skills: Demonstrated innovative teaching methodologies to engage learners; instructional technology skills; interpersonal skills including oral communication and collaboration; committed to a focus on student success
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: At least three years of experience in online classroom instruction and work in specific discipline
Skills: Experience in online course design experience in coordination of online learning programs.
WORKING CONDITIONS:Collaborative teambased faculty working in an academic environment
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Ability to complete essential classroom functions and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds
